A Little Backstory

After more than 20 years as a therapist in a healthcare setting, I found myself longing for more creativity and space to work outside the box. During a time of personal transition, I rediscovered photography and began exploring how I could bring together my skills as a therapist with my love of capturing people and emotion.

I also found myself drawn to the question: What makes a gathering meaningful? Inspired by the work of Priya Parker and my own clients’ stories, I began to imagine a new way to support people — not just in processing life’s transitions, but in honoring them.

This is the work that emerged. It’s a continuation of what I’ve always done: helping people feel seen, supported, and understood — now with a camera in hand, and a little more room for beauty.

About Me

Hi, I’m Lelah — a therapist, photographer, and facilitator of meaningful gatherings. I help people celebrate life’s important transitions with more presence, more intention, and more heart.

My work blends two decades of experience as a therapist with a creative eye for photography and a deep love of bringing people together. I offer a unique combination of planning support, gentle facilitation, and documentary-style photography for small, heartfelt gatherings. These aren’t big productions — they’re quiet, personal celebrations designed to honor the moment in a way that feels true to you.

Whether it’s a milestone birthday, a postpartum honoring, a coming-of-age circle, or a send-off into something new, I help you shape the tone, guide the flow, and create a space where meaning and connection come to the surface. I also capture the gathering through photographs that reflect how it felt — not just how it looked.

I’m not a traditional event planner or just a photographer. I’m someone who can help you slow down, tune in, and celebrate in a way that feels grounded, beautiful, and unforgettable.
